summer love sunday

clams mariniere-FYS.jpg

There's something about summer. As the temperatures rise so does our penchant for bad decisions. So It's no surprise that summer is known for new love. Maybe it's the kind of love that inspires a great romance. Maybe you wake up one day in mid-September and discover you spent the summer so hopped up on rose and linen that you didn't realize you were dating a republican. Who cares? all that matters now is that we're at the cusp of summer and ready for all that life sends our way.

If you find yourself having your summer love over for dinner, we've got you covered. Something fast and easy so you can get to what you really want to be doing. Obviously.

But we get it: you need to set the mood and pressing shuffle on your iTunes library takes a level of trust and commitment that you just haven't built yet. 'Cause of this. Or this. and definitely this. it's basically michael bolton's fault. he has the voice of a fucking angel. no judgement here, but in a new relationship you've got to roll out your crazy slowly. you still want them to like you...at least until labor day. So we've made not one, but two playlists. one so you can live another day looking somewhat cool in their eyes. and a second because in writing this, we were taken back to 1990 and remembered what a majestic american icon mr. bolton really is. as we said, summer is for bad decisions. sorry, not sorry.

Follow us on spotify to get 'em both.

ingredients

Feudi di San Gregorio Falanghina

We don't normally drink white wine because it's like water and thus too dangerous. But when occasion strikes,  we drink Feudi di San Gregorio Falanghina. This Southern Italian white from the tiny village of Sorbo Serpico in Campania's Irpinia region is reasonably priced at around $14 so you really can't go wrong.  Serve it freezing cold in a bucket of ice and everything will be just fine.
